Myers Nomination Passes Committee–Over To You, Senate
I am not proud of what I am about to write and before you continue reading there is something you should know: I am fairly certain that events today mark the beginning of Armageddon…keep an eye out for locusts.
This morning…crikey, this is difficult…I applauded Democrats and jeered Republicans.
I’m sorry! Well, not really.
Despite my express instructions, the nomination of Julie Myers to head ICE passed the Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs by a 7-2 party-line vote.
Fortunately, the nomination now heads to the Senate floor, where it should face some pretty tough opposition.
