VDARE.com Readers: Read This Now And Do Your Part, Please!! RNC Vote Tomorrow!

Ok everyone, listen up!

Forgive my harsh tone but we’ve got some serious work to do–the RNC Winter Meeting is currently underway and we have less than 24 hours before several illegal immigration resolutions hit the General Session for vote.

Over the past week or so, Monsieur Brimelow and I have both written about the RNC and two resolutions pertaining to illegal immigration.

  1. The Randy Pullen resolution which is excellent. [here] [email him]
  2. The Bill Crocker resolution which unfortunately includes guest worker language. [email him]

Now it seems there is another resolution–sponsored by the White House–that abracadabra just tossed its hat in the ring this morning.

I haven’t seen it yet (but I will post it as soon as I get it) but I think it is safe to assume that it will be all about Guest Worker Programs.

One could speculate as to why the White House would wait until the 11th hour to offer thier own language…

Hmm…my Spidey Senses tell me that the Bush II clan did not want a week’s worth of public debate against their resolution before the vote. Sneaky, sneaky…

Whatever resolution the RNC adopts tomorrow will be the immigration platform of the party…surely, we all can see the urgency of the moment. We need at least one national party to embrace true immigration reform.

I think it is safe to say that the DNC would sooner endorse Karl Rove for President in 2008 than take on the problem of illegal immigration–without illegals, who would vote for the Dems?

[BB note: The opinions expressed here are not necessarily the opinions of the VDARE.com Editorial Collective...hee hee!]

Speaking of Rove, the White House Chief Advisor (umm…architect) is scheduled to speak during lunch tomorrow before the General Session…indeed, the 800 lb. gorilla is on the loose and probably working in lobbyist overdrive mode. [schedule here]

Here is the link from Peter Brimelow’s article which lists RNC committee members by state [here]

Take a moment and do your part. Please, my friends…it’s now or never. Forward this blog to everyone you know and get things moving!

Thanks!!

UPDATE!! My sources from the front lines (who shall remain nameless, of course) tell me that there will only be two resolutions introduced tomorrow during the General Session of the RNC Winter Meeting:

1. The Randy Pullen resolution
2. The Bill Crocker/White House resolution

The Crocker resolution has somewhat morphed into the White House resolution…a.k.a. the Guest Worker resolution.

Illegal Aliens (Sniff) Just As (Sniff) Good As The Rest Of Us

Just when you think you’ve seen the worst of journalists who shouldn’t be, up pops another.

Meet “satirical writer” Joel McNally of Milwaukee, who says we ingrate descendants of (legal) European immigrants have a lot of nerve wanting to deny automatic citizenship to children born here to illegal aliens,Our own Sensenbrenner fights aliens among us ,” The Capital Times, Jan. 14. (That’s Sensenbrenner as in the “next jackboot to drop .”)

If you think McNally (e-mail him) is cute at the top of his inane column, his closing paragraph will have you rolling in the aisles.

Skewed Countdown to Baby 300 Million

The commentary “Countdown to Baby 300 million” [Chicago Tribune, January 18, 2006] is remarkable for what is left out, namely any environmental sense of what the event of the300 millionth American means in terms of diminished quality of life for the future, and related issues like water supply, air quality, food availability, open space, species preservation, etc.

The writer concludes with a sappy salute to “bigness.”

The rest of us, however, may want to take a moment to revel in our national bigness. Let us be the first to wish a happy birthday to Baby 300 million, whoever you may be.

Just what value is “bigness” anyway? The environmental movement must be partially blamed for such abysmal ignorance to be written in a major newspaper.

The entire issue of domestic overpopulation has fallen off the national radar because of environmentalism’s slide into leftist political correctness, largely led by the Sierra Club (which secretly accepted $100 million on the condition that it avoid discussion of immigration as an environmental issue).

We could use a few good environmentalists now.
