You Don’t Need Papers to Vote?

Next Tuesday, California voters will choose the best candidate to fill the Congressional seat left vacant by Randy “Duke” Cunnigham.

They will choose between Democrat Francine Busby and Republican Brian Bilbray…recent polls indicate a close race.

Yeah, here’s the thing:

Ms. Busby has spent the last several months telling everyone and their brother that Republicans are unethical and Brian Bilbray will just prove to be another lawbreaker should he be elected.

As it turns out, she’s knows an awful lot about lawbreaking…

Expose The Left has released a tape of Busby the Righteous telling a Spanish-speaking audience “you don’t need papers to vote.”

I realize that years of unchecked and unpunished voter fraud may have left some people with the impression that foreign nationals can vote in our elections but in reality, they can’t. Seriously, look it up…they really can’t.

Have a look and listen (here) and then send her a snorkel because this one should sink her.

Drunk Driving Update

The statistics are undeniable that hispanics drive drunk at substantially higher rates than the American public. For that reason, they constitute a continuing danger on the roadways to innocent citizens, as shown by the numerous DUI deaths caused by illegal aliens, many of whom are from Mexico.

One tragic death from a drunk-driving illegal was that of 20-year-old Natalie Housand in North Carolina. Another death caused by a drunk foreigner occurred Monday near Chicago, when 28-year-old Patricia Henneken, a wife and mother of an 8-year-old son, was killed while doing errands near her home. Her car was struck by Javier Rico, whose blood alcohol level was nearly three times the legal limit. His car was moving at 70-100 mph. Like so many others, he had been previously arrested for drunk driving but was not deported.

“The Latino community creates its own problems,” said Joe Ynostroza, technical assistance director for the California Hispanic Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse in Sacramento, a nonprofit educational organization. The problem is especially acute in Mexico.

“Most of this is first- or second-generation Mexican males,” he said. “Alcoholism runs rampant in the Mexican Latino community.”

No other ethnic or racial group has such a high level of DUI arrests statewide, according to the California Department of Justice. Whites account for about 41 percent of DUI arrests, Blacks make up about 6.5 percent, and the remaining 7.5 percent encompasses all other racial groups combined.

The 2000 Census determined the California population of hispanics to be 32.4 percent, while 44.2 percent of DUI arrests that year were latino.

The House immigration bill would require automatic deportation for an illegal immigrant after the first conviction for drunk driving, a provision that would absolutely save lives.

More Big Brother Profiteering?

Bill Christenson of Live Science writes:

Scott Silverman, Chairman of the Board of VeriChip Corporation, has proposed implanting the company’s RFID tracking tags in immigrant and guest workers. He made the statement on national television on May 16.

Silverman was being interviewed on “Fox & Friends.” Responding to the Bush administration’s call to know “who is in our country and why they are here,” he proposed using VeriChip RFID implants to register workers at the border, and then verify their identities in the workplace. He added, “We have talked to many people in Washington about using it….”

This article is being discussed on Slashdot.org.

This reminds me a bit of Big Brother Bloomberg’s suggestion the US maintain a DNA database of all US workers. Personally, I don’t see the point of this type of invasive approach when the government can’t even report illegal use of social security numbers by illegal immigrants and their employers.

More On Fines, Not For Illegals, But For Immigration Enforcement

This question of fines for immigration officers, rather than illegal aliens has been mentioned here twice.

Jeff Sessions, who we’ve congratulated here several times, and who Bryanna says is her hero is on the case:

How about fines? Let me state who they want to fine. A Federal agent, trying to do his duty to enforce the law and investigate fraudulent information provided by an illegal alien in their amnesty application, for law enforcement purposes, what happens to them if they take the amnesty application and actually examine it and find out it is fraudulent? What do they do? The agent would be fined $10,000. That fine, I note, is five times the amount the alien is able to post, $2,000, to get his amnesty from his illegal acts.

There is no reason in the world Federal law enforcement officers should be barred from investigating and utilizing amnesty applications to prosecute criminal activities in America. There is no reason this ought to be protected other than it looks to me that some clever lawyer has realized if they can get this in the bill people can file false amnesty applications all day and no one will ever be able to investigate. Isn’t that horrible? That is what it looks like to me. Is that a sneaky lawyer trick? I ask you to make that judgment. It does not sound good to me.

Harris Miller vs. James Webb

One June 13, Virginia Democrats will will be choosing between noted author and highly decorated soldier James Webb and wealthy lobbyist Harris Miller in their Senate Primary. Now, Harris Miller was one of the leading architects of the H-1b worker replacement program.

Just who is Harris Miller? Well according to his Wikipedia biography :

In 1995, Harris Miller became President of the Information Technology Association of America (ITAA). Since that time and until his Senate run, he has promoted the interests of Information Technology firms throughout the United States. Miller, through ITAA, provided Congressional testimony many times in favor of increases in the H-1B visa quotas, defense of L-1 visa abuse, and support of offshore outsourcing of American jobs.

Harris has been good friends and business associates with Former Lt. Gov Don Beyer and former Governor and 2008 Presidential hopeful Mark Warner.

Now, the other factor is it is generally agreed that Harris has virtually no chance of beating the incumbent Republican-while if he makes it through the primary, Webb just may be able to win in conservative Virginia. This is a race for what is left of the heart and soul of the Democratic party.

If the Virginia Democrats choose Miller as their standard-bearer, this would be an insult to every working American–especially those that have been affected by expansion of guest worker programs like H-1b and L-1. If they choose Webb, the Democrats will have a chance at gaining a credible senate voice on defense and foreign policy issues they have lacked since Sam Nunn retired.

Update on MEChA School!!

First of all–

Thank you, thank you, thank you to the swarms of VDARE.com readers who wrote to the school district and complained about Academia Semillas de Pueblo…it’s making a HUGE difference!!

LAUSD Superintendent Roy Romer said they had already received several reports about the school.

“We are already investigating the school and we’re going to check it out very thoroughly,” Romer said. “What I hear is not good, but I don’t want to prejudge.”
