Joe Guzzardi, Champion Baker

VDARE. COM columnist Joe Guzzardi received five first-place blue ribbons in three different baking categories at this year’s [1] San Joaquin County Fair.

His Chocolate Frosted Triple Chocolate Brownies with Dried Cherries won first place in the brownies category. His recipes for Vermont Apple Bread, Decadent Double Chocolate Banana Bread and Old-Fashioned Scottish Orange Current Scones took first place in the quick breads category. Finally, Guzzardi’s California Fruit Cake took first place in the cakes, non-layer category.
