No War on Christmas? - Ask Sasha Cohen

On my casual count, 2,498 separate “original” articles have appeared this season asserting there is “No War on Christmas.” If you delve into the blogospere, the language gets pretty nasty. Generally, it is almost as if a Fiery Cross has gone out in Media land.

Anyone confronted with this argument should immediately refer his opponent to the VDARE Christmas competition archive. By now, we can show hundreds of specific examples. We see this as a service to the Nation. (Hint.)

However, even VDARE.com is sometimes astonished. Can it really be that suppressing a High School choir carol performance required a Policeman?

Silent night for fear of offending Jew By Catherine Elsworth in New York Telegraph.co.uk 16/12/06

Staci Della-Rocco, the director of the choir, said she complied with the request by a city council employee and police officer to silence the children because “I didn’t want to have a big old huge scene in front of my kids”.

Two points need to be made.

• The “Jew” in question, the skater Sasha Cohen, forcefully disassociated herself from this atrocity.

• This event occurred on Tuesday night (Dec 12th). Only tonight (Dec 15th) is it surfacing nationally. (I know! I am watching.) This proves that the MSM is not willing to publicize these stories. (I credit Google News for forcing their hand.)

This story supports the suspicion I raised in the context of the Seattle Airport row: there is an enthusiasm amongst bureaucrats for suppressing Christmas which arguably exceeds the appetite of the religious groups they deem as their clients for this conflict.

The Mayor of Riverside apologized for this blunder. Applaud him. (It encourages Politicians. Hint: enter any city official on the questionnaire)

Chagas Disease Seeks The American Dream!

Donald G. McNeil, Jr. writes at the New York Times

After years of delays, the Food and Drug Administration approved a test today for a fatal parasitic infection that is common in Latin America and increasingly prevalent in the United States blood supply.

The nation’s major blood banks said they would quickly adopt the test for Chagas disease, which in Latin America is usually transmitted by the bite of a parasite-carrying insect called the kissing bug, but can also be passed from mother to child or through blood transfusion or organ donation.

About 100,000 people in the United States are thought to be infected with Chagas. The American Red Cross estimated that in the Los Angeles area, the chance of getting a unit of potentially infected blood is 1 in 2,000, up from 1 in 10,000 estimated a decade ago.

Now, the simple fact is that uncontrolled immigration is the major reason that Los Angeles now has a higher prevalence of Chagas than it did–and that disease is likely be shared with the rest of the US. Now, the businesses and real estate owners that profited from illegal immigration won’t be paying the hospital bills or lost wages of folks infected via a transfusion here. Why shouldn’t they, though?

Idaho Governor Stops Illegal Hiring

I am happy to note that Idaho’s Gov. Risch made this announcement yesterday, right here in Coeur d’Alene, far from the Capital.
[Risch pushes for legal hires during Cd'A visit, By TOM GREENE, Coeur d'Alene Press, December 13, 2006]

Want to think my 3 months of harping to two conservative/Republican groups helped make it happen. Rumor has it more to come (from Republicans acting like Republicans)

Multiculturalism vs. Modernity: Oslo Rapes Are Victims’ Fault?

The Washington Times recently addressed the dramatic rise in reported rapes in Oslo, while conspicuously avoiding any mention of immigration. It’s interesting that Endre Sandvik, the head of the Oslo Legevakt Hospital said “clinic staff are also taking more time with each victim to secure evidence for prosecutors,” and yet no one is mentioning what most of the perpetrators have in common: their ethnicity. (Rape Up Dramatically In Oslo, Washington Times 12/12/06)

A good blog on the issue can be found at The Brussels Journal, by a blogger called “Fjordman”. The whole item is worth reading, but here is what I thought was the most compelling excerpt:

Two out of three charged with rape in Norway’s capital are immigrants with a non-western background according to a police study. The number of rape cases is also rising steadily. Unni Wikan, a professor of social anthropology at the University of Oslo, in 2001 said that “Norwegian women must take their share of responsibility for these rapes” because Muslim men found their manner of dress provocative. The professor’s conclusion was not that Muslim men living in the West needed to adjust to Western norms, but the exact opposite: “Norwegian women must realize that we live in a Multicultural society and adapt themselves to it.”

Huckabee’s “Second Chance” Doctrine

In the large Hall of Shame of Republican Politicos who Pander to Illegal Immigration, Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee deserves special recognition. And this guy is considered a presidential contender!

Huckabee even has a philosophy to justify his having sold out his state and his country. It’s the “Second Chance” doctrine.

In a 2003 radio address Huckabee told listeners that

“For decades, we treated our state’s African-American population poorly. The Hispanic influx gives us a second chance to prove what kind of people we really are.”

Just recently, in a talk to the Political Animals Club in Little Rock, Huckabee was again trotting out the second chance argument for mass immigration:

“One of the great challenges facing us is that we do not commit the same mistakes with our growing Hispanic population that we did with African Americans 150 years ago and beyond. Were still paying the price for the pathetic manner in which This country handled that.”

So is Huckabee concerned about the present-day plight of black Americans harmed by illegal immigration? I guess not. Huckabee even had the chutzpah to say this;

“I think frankly the Lord is giving us a second chance to do better than we did before.”

I think the Lord is giving us a chance to save our country from the damage wrought upon it by people like Mike Huckabee. And there may not be another chance.

Email Governor Huckabee here: and tell him what you think.
