Asymmetric War Noted

The Islamic Baby Bomb
Immigration is war by other means, a point suggested by the Winds of Jihad blog and the graphic shown. It’s a wonder that anyone bothers to wage old-fashioned regular war any more, since immigration is cheaper and more effective. If Hitler were alive today, he would probably be organizing battalions of immigrants to claim lebensraum rather than building expensive tanks and bombers.

Hijabs, burkhas, niqabs, jilbabs, a sharp raise in crime, fear and intimidation, rape-epidemics and riots on our streets and beaches are only the beginning: Houari Boumedienne, Algeria’s undisputed ruler until his death in 1978, said it clearly in a 1974 UN speech:

“One day, millions of men will leave the Southern Hemisphere to go to the Northern Hemisphere. And they will not go there as friends.

Because they will go there to conquer it. And they will conquer it with their sons. The wombs of our women will give us victory.”

In a recent survey on Canada it was predicted that with current trends the population of Muslims in Canada would exceed 30 % by 2025.
["We will conquer your country with the bellies of our women", Winds of Jihad Blog 2/16/07]

In Canada, Muslims already outnumber Jews, a situation that will overtake the United States if Muslim immigration is not curtailed.

In Australia, a visiting Israeli scholar, Prof. Raphael Israeli, sensibly called attention to suicidal demographics [Limit Muslim migration, Australia warned, Sydney Morning Herald 2/15/07].

Life can become untenable when the Muslim population of a non-Muslim country reaches about 10 per cent, as shown by France, a Jewish expert on Islam says. [...]

Professor Israeli told the Herald that was a misunderstanding. But he said: “When the Muslim population gets to a critical mass you have problems. That is a general rule, so if it applies everywhere it applies in Australia.”

The bad news is that Prof. Israeli has been canned for his honesty: AIJAC ‘dumps’ scholar over Muslim remarks.

THE Australia/Israel & Jewish Affairs Council (AIJAC) has withdrawn its support for a visiting Israeli expert on Islam who earlier this week urged Australia to cap its intake of Muslim immigrants.

No good deed goes unpunished, particularly when it involves telling the truth about immigration!

China’s Real ID

China View’s English Language site writes:

BEIJING, Feb. 9 (Xinhua) — Con artists and swindlers in China who try to use fake ID will have a tougher time trying to pass themselves off as someone else now that the public has access to the Ministry of Public Security’s population database.

Anyone can now send a text message or visit the country’s population information center’s website, to check if the name and the ID number of a person’s identity card match. If they do match the ID cardholder’s picture also appears, said the Ministry, adding that no other information is available to ensure a citizen’s privacy is protected.

Completed at the end of 2006, China’s population information database, the world’s largest, contains personal information on 1.3 billion citizens.

Giving public accessing to the database is also designed to correct mistakes if an individual discovers that their name, number and picture don’t match.

Millions of dollars are lost each year by people who use false identities. According to the Ministry of Public Security, about 90 percent of people who commit crimes hold fake ID cards.

Now, as noted on Slashdot, this is coming as the Real ID is being debated in congress. I have reservations about proposals for mandating federal ID cards–or DNA databases. But what is interesting about the Chinese approach is the utter transparency of the database they are making open to the public–they are making photos available to anyone who has someone’s name and ID number.

I can believe that many Americans who have been victims of identity theft might welcome a chance to voluntarily associate their social security numbers with their photos in a government-maintained database. The issues of how foreigners (visitors, immigrants or temporary workers) are registered and processed is also fundamentally different than what requirements are placed on citizens.

I suspect we are up for a long and painful debate on this whole issue.

NRO Prosecutor On Ramos and Compean

When we published Border Agent Attacked In Prison—Another Dreyfus Case? By Donald A. Collins, we included this note:

[Vdare.com note: NRO is on the case, predictably supporting the Bush Administration. Support for the Administration's actions comes from Andrew McCarthy, a former prosecutor, and John J. Miller, an Open Borders lunatic. John Derbyshire, predictably, has more normal reactions.]

Well, here’s some more on the NRO brief for the prosecution by Chip McLean, the editor/publisher for Capitol Hill Coffee House

There are probably two reasons for McCarthy’s zeal in bashing WND and other writers who have been keeping the story going. One is that World Net Daily is probably seen as an “upstart” conservative publication. In the process, they have attained an internet readership that rivals and perhaps even surpasses National Review Online.

The second reason is that NRO in recent times seems to have forgotten their conservative roots. In many ways they have become nothing more than mouthpieces for the Bush Administration. The entire immigration issue is a hot button for many conservatives who now find themselves at odds with this president - a president who favors amnesty for millions of illegal aliens and refuses to control the border. A president who has finally promised to “review” the case of Compean and Ramos, but only after enormous pressure from the conservative base.

McCarthy wanted to “’splain” this case to Sher Zieve (and to everyone else who disagrees with him.) Well, I have a little “’splaining” where NRO is concerned. Their slavish devotion to the Bush Administration extends to peripheral issues such as the Border Patrol agents’ case. They know that immigration is the White House’s achilles heel, and that this case has the ability to explode like a powder keg. So, NRO will naturally do all they can to downplay the case.

Sorry, but being lackeys for the Bush Administration no longer cuts it among true conservatives.Commentary: Andrew McCarthy Misses The Mark - The Post Chronicle

Elites Respond to Non-Existent Backlash

What’s a horrendous immigrant mass murder (Refugee Rampage in Salt Lake in which a Bosnian teenager killed five people) without a hand-wringing fear-of-backlash convulsion by community elites?

Mind you, nothing has happened to any of the 3000 Bosnians who live in Salt Lake, other than a few harsh words. But the Protectors of Diversity have swung into action to reaffirm their allegiance to multiculturalism and remind the little citizens what they should believe.

Now, state and local officials say that the rage and grief after the multiple killings here in a shopping mall Monday by an 18-year-old Bosnian immigrant threaten a backlash, and they announced plans on Wednesday for outreach meetings and candlelight vigils to head off trouble and help the city heal.

Nothing makes me feel more kumbaya than an uplifting candlelight vigil celebrating diversity.
