Bye-Bye N-Word! Hello Censorship!

It was said to be a symbolic resolution and not an actual resolution so I am not sure what we’re really dealing with: Late last week, New York City Council banned the use of the “N-word” because it incites hate and something, something…racism…all the usual comments.

Is the N-word a racial epithet? Sure it is. Is it offensive to some? Sure it is. But it is also just a word.

What’s interesting is that the cause of the commotion does not arise from the general direction of the White community but from Blacks–namely Black rap singers and comedians.

Councilman Leroy Comrie sponsored the umm measure? and says (because it is so often spoken by Black people to Black people) the word is self-denigrating and disrespectful of Black history.

I have absolutely no idea if there is any truth in this and I really don’t care…call it the ugliest word in the English language, I don’t care! What I care about is the latest infringement on the very basic, very necessary freedom of speech that is (or used to be) guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution.

By eliminating the “N-Word” from social discourse, Councilman Comrie is hoping to send a message to the next generation of Americans…

Unfortunately, that message may end up being something like: Bye-Bye First Amendment, Hello Censorship!

Mexican Gangs’ Ethnic Cleansing of Black Americans in Los Angeles

It has long been the dream of race hucksters like Jesse Jackson that America’s changing demographics would allow the people of color to join together in a cheerful Rainbow Coalition to advance an anti-white, redistributionist agenda. Once whites were outnumbered by colorful people, the theory was, racism would fade away and paradise would prevail. Like we have in California.

It hasn’t quite worked out that way.

Today’s exhibit [How a Community Imploded, LA Times 3/05/07] is the tale of planned terrorism against black citizens by Mexican gangsters in the Harbor Gateway area of Los Angeles.

VDARE.com has noted the hispanic gang murder of 14-year-old Cheryl Green, a black teen who was killed for “trespassing” on Mexican turf near her home in the neighborhood last December.

But the body count doesn’t end there. Earlier reports have observed the ethnic cleansing aspect of Mexican gang attacks against random blacks to drive them out of the area. According to LAPD statistics, from 1994 to 2005 there were nearly five times as many homicides, assaults and other violent crimes by Latinos against blacks as by blacks against Latinos in Harbor Gateway.

From today’s LA Times article…

In 1997, 11-year-old Marquis Wilbert, an African American youth with no gang affiliation, was shot and killed by a 204th Street gang member on a bicycle.

In September 2001, Robert Hightower, a 19-year-old Pasadena high school senior, was shot to death after hugging his sister, whom he had been visiting. A 204th Street gang member shot him, according to court testimony, because he was upset that a black boxer had beaten a Latino in a prizefight.

In 2003, Eric Butler, 39, was shot to death as he drove from the neighborhood’s lone business, the Del Amo Market, which the gang considered to be in its territory. He’d gone there to intervene after gang members began harassing his 14-year-old stepdaughter. She was shot in the back and lives today with a bullet lodged near her spine.

Gang shooting vcitim Carl Wagoner and his wife

“ALTERED LIVES: Dunya Wagoner holds husband Carl’s hand at a medical facility on Valentine’s Day. He is bedridden after losing a leg in a Harbor Gateway shooting last August. He also lost his auto-shop business.”

There are smaller intrusions as well, like the virtual imprisonment many black citizens feel — for example, the kids who aren’t allowed to play outside because it is too dangerous. No American should have to live in such conditions, particularly when they are caused by Washington’s infatuation with exploitable labor and open borders. A plague of criminal immigrant gangs was the foreseeable blowback.

In Defence of Kenneth Eng

A more efficient way of accessing the Kenneth Eng article cited by Brenda Walker is the American Renaissance post, second item (scroll down).

VDARE.com is a coalition, so I have no hesitation in saying that Brenda’s judgment on the content of the column is arguable. Eng was harsh and blunt, yes, - but not inaccurate. If we forget that truth is an absolute defense, we will lose the freedom to speak truth. Steve Sailer will be first casualty!

Christians, in fact, have more to denounce Eng about:

• Blacks are easy to coerce. This is proven by the fact that so many of them…tend to be Christians…wasn’t Christianity the religion that the whites forced upon them?

Students of the Asian mind, however, will find the most interesting aspect of the Eng essay his criticism of black high school classmates, who, given in a debating exercise the task of defending slavery, actually did so. To Eng, it seems, the intellectual process cannot be separated from ethnic interest. He cannot, apparently, comprehend the objective or the hypothetical. Race always comes first.

And this is the culture which now dominates the major West Coast Universities. Thanks a lot, Ted Kennedy.

Diversity Skirmish in San Francisco

The City by the Bay has its kumbaya in a bunch in its latest controversy about race. Local leftists are shocked that the newspaper AsianWeek printed a column titled “Why I Hate Blacks,” an ugly and hateful screed by the paper’s long-time columnist Kenneth Eng. Earnest condemnations from political figures have ensued along with public expressions of dismay. (Scroll down here to find the original piece, now mysteriously disappeared from AsianWeek.)

Make no mistake, blacks have every reason to be irate. The column is an unhinged rant by a person with race issues and no attempt to disguise his Asian supremacist views. Here are few quotes from the San Francisco Chronicle, 2/27/07:

– “Blacks hate us. Every Asian who has ever come across them knows that they take almost every opportunity to hurl racist remarks at us.

– “Contrary to media depictions, I would argue that blacks are weak-willed. They are the only race that has been enslaved for 300 years.”

– “Blacks are easy to coerce. This is proven by the fact that so many of them, including the Rev. Al Sharpton, tend to be Christians.”

AsianWeek is a typical low-rent ethnopub that claims to support multiculturalism but really is a relentless cheerleader for the Asian tribe. It is owned by the Fang family, who have a poor record on credibility in general. Naturally AsianWeek has the right to print racist rants, but its pretensions toward community relevance would seem to dictate other standards.

But the larger picture is how the prevalent social ideology of our time (multiculturalism) has failed to create the promised paradise of diversity. Like many previous ideologies, it has not taken human nature into account.

Behind closed doors, many immigrants will say that their ethnicity is superior to the American people as a whole or to other groups. In small amounts, this feeling is a normal expression of the tribal nature of the human psychology, but the irrational extremes of this belief certainly constitute racism.

We shouldn’t be surprised that this attitude is prevalent. Ethnic studies are promoted on the best college campuses and students are encouraged to associate with their racial or cultural group. American history and tradition — even the idea of assimilation — are denigrated by the university elites, who wring their hands over supposedly insufficient diversity rather than emphasizing American values of fairness and achievement.

Conflict among races and ethnicities is to be expected when Washington promotes extreme levels of immigration without society stressing identification with the majority culture and a proper civic education for the kiddies.
