Last year I wrote a piece for VDARE.COM entitled “Meet the World’s Third-Richest Man – And the Nine Other Mexican Billionaires”. about Mexico’s 10 billionaires.

The richest Mexican, and third-richest man in the World, after Bill Gates and Warren Buffet, is Carlos Slim.

A year ago Slim was worth 30 billion dollars. In the new 2007 Forbes Billionaire list

Carlos Slim is up to 49 billion, which puts him a measly 3 billion dollars behind Warren Buffet and 7 billion dollars behind Bill Gates.

All 10 Mexican billionaires from 2006 are still on the list this year.

And there are 37 billionaires in all of Latin America.

Just remember this the next time the media or politicians try to use false guilt to persuade you to support amnesty, higher immigration levels, or any other counter-productive open borders scheme.

Why aren’t Mexico’s billionaires doing more to generate employment in Mexico?
