Mexican Police Gas Central American Illegal Aliens

Here’s a story which should get more publicity, but you’re not likely to see it in the Mainstream American Media.

Last month in the Mexican state of Chiapas, near the Guatemalan border, Mexican police (the federal PFP and Chiapas state border cops) stopped a a truck and discovered 169 Central American illegal aliens in its trailer.

The Central Americans included 26 children and a 15-year old girl who was 5 months pregnant. Nationally speaking, 161 were from El Salvador and 8 from Guatemala, both countries poorer than Mexico.

Apparently the illegal aliens weren’t keen to vacate the trailer. In order to get them out, Mexican police gassed the trailer, and the Central Americans got out.[ Revisará Segob plan para endurecer trato a ilegales regresar, El Siglo De Torreon, April 17 2006]

I assume the gas they used was CS (tear gas), which I’ve been exposed to as part of training in the U.S. Army.

Can you just imagine the outcry that would ensue if U.S. immigration officials used gas on Mexican illegal aliens?

Immigrant Jihadis in New Jersey?

Ron Shererer and Faye Bowers write in the Christian Science Monitor:

Some of the six men played paintball together and took target practice in the Poconos. One delivered pizzas to Fort Dix, the sprawling Army base in New Jersey.

Such unremarkable activities, though, form part of the backbone of a federal conspiracy case against the men – all Muslims, all immigrants – for allegedly plotting to kill at least 100 soldiers at Fort Dix. Their motive, according to a federal indictment: a perception that Islam is under attack.

To authorities making the arrests, the men signify that the threat of home-grown terrorist cells, inspired by Al Qaeda but not actually connected to it, is a very real one. To others, the six are an aberration, disavowed by Muslims in the US who see the alleged plot’s violent intent as damaging their efforts to become part of the American fabric.

Later in the article, it is explained that several of the “immigrants” are in fact in the US illegally. It is really sad that there is any debate around their rapid deportation.

I have my doubts about the strength of the charges against the others. I also don’t think that Jihad is really the tactic by which Muslims will advance their interests in the US. Islam is a rapidly growing religion in the US-and only part of that growth is from immigration–much is from the conversion of Americans to Islam.

Islam is a religion that thrives where there is gross economic inequity. If the US continues to move towards greater concentration of wealth, we can expect to see Islam grow in the US.

The Arab oil states have acquired hundreds of billions of US assets. Because the western elites have largely discouraged economic development and political unification of the Islamic world(and the west is mired in its own trade mess), ultimately those assets are directly useful to the Islamic nations primarily to facilitate the immigration of select people–or to gather converts to Islam.

We are starting to see significant backlash against Islamic immigration, so that means ultimately those assets will be used to shape the religious and political identity of the US and Europe.

Affordable Family Formation In Action

Informative Michale Barone article in the WSJ:

The Realignment of America
The native-born are leaving “hip” cities for the heartland.
BY MICHAEL BARONE Tuesday, May 8, 2007 12:01 a.m. EDT

In 1950, when I was in kindergarten in Detroit, the city had a population of (rounded off) 1,850,000. Today the latest census estimate for Detroit is 886,000, less than half as many. In 1950, the population of the U.S. was 150 million. Today the latest census estimate for the nation is 301 million, more than twice as many. People in America move around. But not just randomly.

It has become a commonplace to say that population has been flowing from the Snow Belt to the Sun Belt, from an industrially ailing East and Midwest to an economically vibrant West and South. But the actual picture of recent growth, as measured by the 2000 Census and the census estimates for 2006, is more complicated. Recently I looked at the census estimates for 50 metropolitan areas with more than one million people in 2006, where 54% of Americans live. (I cheated a bit on definitions, adding Durham to Raleigh and combining San Francisco and San Jose.) What I found is that you can separate them into four different categories, with different degrees and different sources of population growth or decline. And I found some interesting surprises.

Start with the Coastal Megalopolises: New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, Chicago (on the coast of Lake Michigan), Miami, Washington and Boston. Here is a pattern you don’t find in other big cities: Americans moving out and immigrants moving in, in very large numbers, with low overall population growth. Los Angeles, defined by the Census Bureau as Los Angeles and Orange Counties, had a domestic outflow of 6% of 2000 population in six years–balanced by an immigrant inflow of 6%. The numbers are the same for these eight metro areas as a whole. [More]

Unclear On The Concept Of Freedom Of Speech

I said yesterday that that the fact that we’d had an attack on Walter Kehowski by his supervisors a couple of years ago, which I wrote about on VDARE.com, didn’t mean that “Walter Kehowski has reoffended. It’s the Maricopa County Community College that has reoffended.”

A second-string “watchdog” group called ConWebWatch [Send them mail]doesn’t quite get it:

What neither NewsMax or FIRE want you to know is Kehowski’s history of promoting inflammatory anti-immigrant rhetoric — which, along with his repeated violations of school email policy, is a more likely culprit behind his purported woes than e-mailing Washington’s Thanksgiving Day proclamation. After all, when the white “racialist” websites American Renaissance and VDARE are running to your defense — as they have for Kehowski in the past — the issue is bigger than George Washington.

But “inflammatory anti-immigrant rhetoric” is a legitimate political position, shared by many, indeed most Americans, and public institutions aren’t supposed to fire people for their politics.

Hispanic Leader “Actually Covered His Ears” Saying “I Will Not Listen To These Words.” (Psst! Illegal Aliens)

Quote of the week:

A few years back, one self-anointed “Hispanic leader” attending an editorial board meeting here at the newspaper actually covered his ears and told us, “I will not listen to these words,” when I kept referring to illegal aliens as illegal aliens.

The goal, of course, is to brand us as boorish, insensitive, tone-deaf racists if we use anything but this month’s preferred euphemism. If I’m up-to-date, that would now be “undocumented guest worker” — a phrase meant to imply these millions of law-breaking trespassers have merely neglected to stop by the nearest federal Guest Worker Services bureau to pick up their “instant citizenship” and voter registration cards, available merely by paying a bribe of some tens of thousands of dollars, which our socialist politicians euphemistically call a “fine.[VIN SUPRYNOWICZ: Are you PC? Victory in Oklahoma!

Writing that headline is a very strange experience!

Oklahoma Governor Brad Henry emerged from under his desk on Tuesday, smelt the political coffee, and signed HB 1804, the state’s illegal immigration interdiction measure:

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Gov. Brad Henry signed a sweeping immigration reform bill Tuesday, describing it as a stopgap measure to deal with an illegal immigration problem that is actually the responsibility of the federal government.

The legislation, described as the nation’s most meaningful attempt to deny jobs and public benefits to illegal immigrants, passed the House and Senate by overwhelming margins…

The measure’s author, Rep. Randy Terrill, R-Moore, credited public outcry at the federal government’s inability to address illegal immigration for his measure’s success. I’m glad the governor received the message,” Terrill said. “It puts Oklahoma effectively at the forefront in the state-level immigration reform movement.”

It puts Oklahoma effectively at the forefront in the state-level immigration reform movement.

is absolutely correct, as Rep Randy Terrill says. (Congratulate him.) Every state legislator in the country needs now to explain why a similar measure is not under way in his State. It can be done!

Unquestionably this is why the successful progress of the legislation was greeted with such deafening silence by the national MSM (with the honorable exception of the Drudge Report). Can’t give the Peasants dangerous ideas!

Seeing if this important story gets any national attention is going to be a revealing test of MSM professional integrity.
