Mosques Fomenting Anti-US Propaganda

A new study is being reported that has found the majority of mosques in this country are essentially headquarters for the Islamist fifth column. (Those are the immigrants who want to turn the USA into a part of the Sharia Planet, where everyone will obey the mullahs — or else.)

The Mapping Sharia in America Project, sponsored by the Washington-based Center for Security Policy, has trained former counterintelligence and counterterrorism agents from the FBI, CIA and U.S. military, who are skilled in Arabic and Urdu, to conduct undercover reconnaissance at some 2,300 mosques and Islamic centers and schools across the country.

“So far of 100 mapped, 75 should be on a watchlist,” an official familiar with the project said.

Many of the Islamic centers are operating under the auspices of the Saudi Arabian government and U.S. front groups for the radical Muslim Brotherhood based in Egypt.

Frank Gaffney, a former Pentagon official who runs the Center for Security Policy, says the results of the survey have not yet been published. But he confirmed that “the vast majority” are inciting insurrection and jihad through sermons by Saudi-trained imams and anti-Western literature, videos and textbooks.

The current report is in line with the Freedomhouse investigation of a few years back. That survey of mosque publications similarly concluded that the majority of Muslim houses of worship in the United States act as terrorist clubhouses. (The 2005 Freedomhouse publication, Saudi Publications on Hate Ideology Invade American Mosques can be downloaded in PDF.)

The article quotes Rep. Pete King (R-NY) as observing, “We have too many mosques in this country.”

That’s one way to say, “It’s the immigration, stupid!”

Mr. Rogers’ Barrio

Sergio Pinto, pictured serving the late Fred Rogers in Brockett’s Bakery on Mr . Rogers’ Neighborhood, apparently moved to a new neighborhood, and is now in trouble with the Florida law:

TAMPA - Plagued with debt, flush with charisma, Sergio Pinto arrived in Tampa in 2001.Sergio Pinto on Mr. Rogers

Back in Pittsburgh, he was many things: a restaurateur, an actor on “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood,” owner of a translation business. He came to Tampa, a town with a climate more like the one in his native Guatemala — and a far greater need for his talent of interpreting Spanish to English and vice-versa.

The change of scenery didn’t change his money woes.

By March 2002, five months after signing a $627-a-month lease, Pinto was evicted from his Seminole Heights apartment for failure to pay.

That year, Pinto apparently found a new enterprise to supplement translating work from clients such as the U.S. public defender.

His new clientele: illegal immigrants.

His sales pitch, according to many who said they responded to it: For $6,000, I can get you a work permit and legalize your status.

Problem is, they said, he never did.

California’s RINO Republican Party Worse Than Suspected–And So Is Grover Norquist

Terry Graham’s recent item about the California Republican Party, whose convention just wrapped up, was pretty bad, but this, via Michelle Malkin, is worse:

Last June, I noted the mortifying open-borders debacle in the California Republican Party. Michael Kamburowski, an Australian immigrant who served as the California Republican Party’s chief operating officer, resigned last summer after the SFChron reported that he had been “ordered deported in 2001, jailed in connection with the order, and [had a] $5 million wrongful arrest lawsuit pending against U.S. Department of Homeland Security officials.” Clueless GOP officials put Kamburowski in charge of the multimillion-dollar budget of the nation’s largest state Republican Party.

I hadn’t heard about that–I know the EEOC persecutes you if you ask a Mexican to prove it’s legal for him to work, [See Indiscriminate Anti-Discrimination Enforcement: Why Is It Illegal To Check For Illegals?]but what about a white guy who says “G’day, mate” and similar comments? Couldn’t the sort of tell he was foreign? And Michelle Malkin points to the other Republican connection with this guy: Grover Norquist.

A former California Republican Party official who resigned last year in a controversy over his immigration status had no valid visa or work permit during his high-profile career as a Washington lobbyist for conservative icon Grover Norquist, newly filed court records show.

Michael Kamburowski, an Australian citizen who served briefly as chief operating officer of the state GOP, worked from 1995 to 2000 as a vice president of Americans for Tax Reform in Washington, D.C., an organization headed by Norquist - an architect of modern conservatism who has advised President Bush and top GOP political leaders. Why am I not surprised that Grover Norquist was employing an illegal alien? I’ll tell you why I’m not surprised–years of VDARE.com coverage of Norquist:
