Forest Fire Jihad Considered by Hostile Muslims

Those darn Muslims! They are nothing if not inventive in thinking up ways to mess with us hated infidels — as well as innocent woodland creatures like Bambi and Thumper, it turns out.

Purposely setting forest fires is jihadists’ latest bright idea to bring on planetary Sharia law [Islam group urges forest fire jihad, The Age, Melbourne Australia, Sept 7, 2008].

AUSTRALIA has been singled out as a target for “forest jihad” by a group of Islamic extremists urging Muslims to deliberately light bushfires as a weapon of terror.

US intelligence channels earlier this year identified a website calling on Muslims in Australia, the US, Europe and Russia to “start forest fires”, claiming “scholars have justified chopping down and burning the infidels’ forests when they do the same to our lands”.

The website, posted by a group called the Al-Ikhlas Islamic Network, argues in Arabic that lighting fires is an effective form of terrorism justified in Islamic law under the “eye for an eye” doctrine.

The posting - which instructs jihadis to remember “forest jihad” in summer months - says fires cause economic damage and pollution, tie up security agencies and can take months to extinguish so that “this terror will haunt them for an extended period of time”.

“Imagine if, after all the losses caused by such an event, a jihadist organisation were to claim responsibility for the forest fires,” the website says. “You can hardly begin to imagine the level of fear that would take hold of people in the United States, in Europe, in Russia and in Australia.”

With the nation heading into another hot, dry summer, Australian intelligence agencies are treating the possibility that bushfires could be used as a weapon of terrorism as a serious concern.

Interestingly, it’s not the first time that setting forest fires was attempted as a weapon of terror. In World War Two, the Japanese launched more than 9,000 incendiary balloons across the Pacific designed to set the northwest ablaze, but most did little damage.

However, the technical problems inherent with hydrogen balloons haphazardly floating 5000 miles on the Jet Stream would not exist for resident jihadist Muslims with pockets full of matches, and Washington has been importing plenty of unfriendlies, just like Australia. Bay Buchanan Brutality: The Inside Story

Pat Buchanan briefly mentioned a run in his sister Bay had with the St Paul police on Scarborough Country, and it has generated a good deal of interest around the convention, but I have yet to see it pop up in the blogosphere. Here is the exclusive and inside story of what happened.

Many of the streets surrounding the XCel center in St Paul are blocked off to those who are not attending the convention. On Tuesday morning, Bay did not yet have her credentials and was going to meet Pat Buchanan who was on the opposite side of the Xcel center, which she could not cut through. After walking aimlessly trying to find a way to get through, a police officer told her to go through the a road by the River.

When she got there, she was talking on the cell phone and a police horse ran into her. Thinking she had absent mindedly bumped into it, she was about to aIpologize when the police officer screamed “Move” and bucked the horse at her. She tried to explain that she was told to take that road ant ask where she could walk, the officer bucked the horse into her again and screamed for her to get out of the way again.

A number of peaceful protesters witnessed it, and some took pictures (which I hope will surface) and were immediately sympathetic, though they may have lost it when they found out who she was.

Sam Francis used the word Anarcho-Tyranny to explain the state where the government does nothing to punish criminals, while engages in brute force against law abiding citizens. Calling this a case of anarcho-tyrrany may be extreme as the police used plenty of force against the violent protestors as well.

Will Obama Checkmate McCain By Calling On Him To Pledge A “Bipartisan” Amnesty?

It’s obvious from our email that a lot of people desperately want a reason to vote against Barack Obama - as Ryan Kennedy put it: “Sarah Barracuda. All our hopes rest on thee.”

But Obama and the Democrats can easily break this momentum. All Obama has to do is ask John McCain (who, despite appearances, is still the GOP presidential nominee) to pledge, in the spirit of bipartisanship he was going on about Thursday night, that they will both work together for amnesty in the next Congress, regardless of which of them goes to the White House and which of them remains in the U.S. Senate.

McCain would be really stuck. He can’t refuse because (a) he really wants an amnesty and was fanatically committed to the Kennedy-Bush version; (b) he actually believes all this innumerate nonsense about the Hispanic vote.

But he can’t agree because that will utterly dispel the delusions of his desperate base.

Checkmate!

Palin Lauds Ron Paul In Old MTV Interview (Youtube)

Sarah Palin admirer Ryan Kennedy writes

Old MTV interview where she applauds Ron Paul. Alludes to not being a party loyalist:

Calls him, “really cool” so one can presume Paul’s anti-immigration stance didn’t turn her off too badly.

Found another video of her addressing her church. It’s obvious she is a devout Pentecostal. I don’t know if this good or bad. As you know, many devout Christians think it’s un-Christian to enforce immigration law.

A Harvard Graduate Explains Obama’s Qualifications For Harvard Law: “Liberal Bona Fides”

My post Was Barack Obama An Affirmative Action Case In Law School? Libertarian VP Candidate Will Bet A Million Dollars He Was seems to have touched a nerve–I got several good letters. This one is from an anonymous  Ph.D in California:

As a Harvard undergrad (studying math and physics), I had pre-law friends who explained Harvard Law’s admission standards: 99th percentile LSAT scores and a 4.0 GPA, in order to be accepted in ones senior year. However, Harvard reserved some spaces for applicants who had supplemented their somewhat deficient college transcripts with “life experience.”  This included time served as a Peace Corps volunteer, a congressional intern, or as in O’s case, a community organizer. For “life experience” substitute proof of one’s liberal bona fides.  Being half African American certainly shouldn’t have hurt O given the obvious racial preference Harvard Law showed in admitting his dunderhead wife. What’s more interesting is the fact that he started as a freshman at Occidental College, a slacker liberal arts institution for private school kids, and transferred to Columbia for his Sophomore year. Columbia at that time was the so-called “pits” of the Ivy League because of the perceived danger of Morningside Heights, a very high crime area before Rudy took matters in hand. (I turned down a John Jay National Scholarship to avoid the fate of one member of the class of ‘83 who was knifed to death while moving into his dorm, freshman week). So, I like to flatter myself by speculating that I was admitted to Columbia the year Obama was rejected/wait-listed, hence the need for his one year exile at Occidental. In the Ivy Leagues back in the 70’s and 80’s second year transfers were an important back door needed to maintain minority percentages, since their attrition rate tended to be high in the first year.

If you use my post please sign it anonymous. I don’t want my kid retaliated against when she applies to Harvard.

Just a note–Obama isn’t half African-American–he’s half African. He’s thus 100 percent African-American.

It’s amazing that the “affirmative action” benefits supposed to be benefitting the descendents of slaves, people who’ve been supposedly victimized by racist America, were given to  someone like Obama. Obama isn’t an underprivileged minority–he’s a preppie from Hawaii whose mother was a white academic, whose father was an African academic and whose white grandmother was vice-president of a bank.

The News from Spain…isn’t News.

I received a gracious email from Randall Burns, our resident Progressive (and Mayflower descendant!) saying he thought my blog on Spain’s reversal of immigration policy “good and interesting”.

I was flattered. I still relish the comment in Randall’s Pilgrim’s Pride article:

Immigration has allowed the wealthy to create a huge mess—and the wealthy should be held fully accountable to cleaning up all costs. Wealthy interests now run both the Democratic and Republican Parties and have been the core support for both legal and illegal immigration. We must be sure that the price to fix these problems is not paid by those who have already borne enormous costs from the last 40 year experiment in immigration.

As I said on Thursday night, what would be so strange about the Democrats – if they were truly the party of the working man – calling for immigration restrictions in these times of economic adversity?

So I checked “Spain Immigration” on Google News. At this writing, the only US media outlets to report the story were the New York Daily News, Forbes, and Ohio’s Canton Repository , all of which used the AP feed.

Spain may only have 45 million people, but of all European countries it is in a sense most like America - huge populations to the south from incompetent countries. In ’04, the Socialists adopted a liberal immigration policy. Now they have dropped it. Is that not news?

Not to the MSM.

Congratulate the Canton Repository, a regional newspaper with an international understanding - the
only one to report this significant story.
