California’s Republican Party To Adopt Open Borders Platform?

With California’s Republican Party broke, battered and beleaguered, this week’s statewide convention in San Francisco will set the stage for its future.

Years ago, RINOs took control of the GOP, assuring others that a “Big Tent” GOP was the key to success. But that circus tent was actually an open canopy, and more change agents quickly moved in for the kill. [State GOP Split As Convention Nears, By Carla Marinucci, San Francisco Chronicle, February 16, 2008]
So it’s no surprise that a draft of the proposed California GOP platform reads like it was written by open-borders, pro-amnesty globalists like John McCain or the shameless Mexico-first Bible-thumper Mike Huckabee.

The platform uses terms such as “Californians”, “residents,” “families,” “parents” and “people” — encompassing undeserving illegal and legal immigrants–with a token reference to “citizens”, as it promotes the worst elements of last year’s defeated, traitorous Comprehensive Immigration Reform Senate bill which was opposed by most Republicans and at least 80 percent of Americans.[Email the California Republican Party]

This odious draft platform is sure to please the Quisling Quartet of candidates (McCain, Huckabee, Obama, Clinton) being force fed to betrayed Americans including most prominently the impostor likely to be the GOP’s candidate, McCain.

This treacherous platform, as it now reads, states that:

“We believe that all children should have access to quality education whether they matriculate to higher education….”, clearly endorsing tax-subsidized free education to illegals up through PhD, with steep in-state discounts (DREAM Act) for higher education. Massive third-world immigration has utterly destroyed quality education for citizens in a state once leading the nation in quality education.

“Parents [no mention of citizens] should be confident knowing their children are attending a school that meets their standards for academic excellence, safety, and fulfillment.” An impossible goal in schools where English is a foreign language, many parents are illiterate in their own language, truancy is cultural, and ethnic gangs terrorize teachers and students alike.

“Immigrants are vital to the success of California’s agricultural, high-tech, and other key economic sectors.” (If we need immigrants to succeed, then why is immigrant-rich California broke?)

“We support immigration policies that encourage and reward legal immigration [reward?] and that support our family values by keeping immigrant families united.” (Chain migration aka family reunification, allows one immigrant claiming a relationship — however remote — to anyone in his homeland so that an entire tribe can enter the US. Far easy to reunify the tribe by sending that lonely soul home.)

“We support increasing the quotas on the number of individuals who may legally immigrate to America.” (No reason given for increasing immigration, let’s just open the floodgates, as if they are closed!)

“We oppose any general amnesty for illegal immigrants, but encourage thoughtful solutions [?] that allow immigrants vital to our economy to have opportunities to legitimize their status through guest worker and other legal programs (Amnesty!)

“…We believe in continuing to create and uphold environmental policies for clean air and water, healthy forests and oceans, and abundant wildlife”, impossible with massive immigration, and a platform that will “encourage and reward” higher levels of immigrants with high immigrant fertility rates that now drive nearly 100 percent of all California population growth, even as citizens flee resultant conditions.

“….California families are evolving and changing, and …society is best served by supporting [paying for?] all families. Families are ENTITLED and MUST BE EMPOWERED to make fundamental choices for their members, including education, healthcare, and fundamental moral and ethical decisions.” (New entitlements and empowerment for “changing” families, at the expense of citizen-tax slaves, with no need for changing families’ to pay their own way!)

“California’s growing population and fiscal responsibility demand that infrastructure needs be properly budgeted for in every state budget.” California’s infrastructure, including roads, water and sewage treatment, levies/dams, etc. are collapsing under the weight of unbridled immigration while scarce tax dollars pay for immigrant services, not key infrastructure maintenance.

Further, this perverse proposed party platform addresses carbon emissions (deport!), job creation (deport!), sound land use policies (deport!), protecting “California families” from criminals (deport!), asserts that all “persons” be presumed innocent…(deport!), supports protecting the public from violent acts of career criminals (deport!) and providing effective anti-drug education programs (deport!), stiffer penalties for child abductions, exploitation, and abuse (deport!); domestic violence (deport!), and free political speech for Californians in a healthy and vibrant Democracy. (RINO leaders choice of the term “democracy”, a form of government the founders loathed, shows how deeply embedded and arrogant these interlopers are within the California GOP.)

Will California’s Republican delegates at the convention shake free from the chains that bind them, chains that will be tightened by the wolves encircling the sheep, or will an awakened electorate rear up and rout these traitors out? We’ll know by Monday.

Ron Paul On Border Guards

The most significant item in this story (below), for us:

“One voter noted that [Ron] Paul was running hard-hitting ads that pledged a crackdown on illegal immigration. He suggested that the campaign promise would entail a beefed up federal bureaucracy and would be inconsistent with Paul’s philosophy of reduced government.

Paul said his plan would not mean more federal employees, but rather would bring home border guards now serving in Iraq.”[Snubbed by Fox, Paul holds own N.H. forum, By BENNETT ROTH, Houston Chronicle, Jan. 7, 2008 ]

Oil Spill Raises Open-Borders, Open-Port Questions

Last week’s 58,000 gallon oil spill by a Chinese (Cosco) owned container ship in the San Francisco Bay, which has migrated out of the Bay to nearby Pacific coast beaches and inlets, has various links to open borders related issues, foreign access to our shores, and China’s most favored nation (free trade) status. Local media note the spill may have resulted from a “language barrier,” ergo the crew possibly could not understand basic English instructions to safely guide the ship that foggy day. (The entire navigating crew was Chinese, but they’re “required to speak English.” Wanna bet?) [Human error blamed in Bay Area oil spill ,Los Angeles Times, November 11, 2007]

The American bar pilot required by law to board and navigate the ship out the Golden Gate, Capt. John Cota, today said that the foreign ship’s radar “conked out” at various times, calling to mind that unsafe Mexican trucks are set to roll across America, no problema.

Angry letters to local newspapers express disgust that the Chinese container ship had probably delivered lead-painted toys, poopy seafood, and other shoddy, poisonous Chinese products threatening the health, safety and welfare of American consumers thanks to our own government’s failure to screen imports. The oil’s toxicity has resulted in emergency fishing bans that, ironically, could raise demand for tainted Chinese seafood.

Volunteers who rushed to local shores to help contain the oil spill, save ailing birds and protect pristine waters, reported being threatened with arrest, taser guns and criminal charges (some citizens were arrested and charged with misdemeanors in response to their well meaning efforts). Law enforcement officers–including National and State Park rangers–insisted that only the government could do that job. Create the problem, get paid to solve it. Hmmmm. Serious questions about the Coast Guard’s failure to properly assess the size of the spill until hours after it happened, followed by a lengthy delay in their reporting and initiating emergency clean-up measures, remain unanswered.

Minutemen Protest on the Golden Gate–No American Flags Allowed!

The Golden Gate Bridge stands as proof of America’s can-do attitude. Locally, the Sanctuary Sisters Traitors Troika (Senators Dianne Feinstein and Barbara Boxer, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi) regularly betray citizen-constituents in Washington DC with votes to reward, empower and legalize illegals.

Against this backdrop, fed-up citizens chose the Golden Gate–reportedly a prime target of foreign terrorists–as the site to peacefully demonstrate last Saturday, October 13, demanding our immigration laws be enforced and open borders be secured. The Permit issued for this event was subject to revocation “in the event that the national security level rises above yellow,” i.e., if foreign terrorists here due to unenforced immigration laws posed a greater threat.

Organized by North Bay Minutemen with support from Castro Valley, East Bay and Golden Gate Minutemen; Save Our State, Minutemen Civil Defense Corps-Northern California and other groups, marchers met on the Bridge’s Marin County (north) side to avoid problems on San Francisco Sanctuary City soil at the south end. For two hours, we traversed the bridge dressed in red, white, and blue, our signs held high for oncoming traffic: “Enforce Immigration Laws,” Close the Borders,” “Boycott Sanctuary Cities,” “No Shamnesty,” “No NAU/SPP.” Countless drivers honked horns in support, passengers flashing smiles and thumbs up. A woman sharing the bridge walkway with us said, “Thank You” to each and every marcher. Curious foreign tourists snapped photos of our all-American protest.[See photos here.]

Yes indeedy, We the People still can exercise our First Amendment rights to freedom of speech or of the press, peaceable assembly and to petition our public servants–“the Government”–for redress of grievances. Or can we?

The required Permit (hmmmm) for this peaceable assembly issued by controlling authority Golden Gate Bridge Highway & Transportation District (a public entity under State law) included 16 “Special Conditions” many that expressly violated our First Amendment rights.

First, we were commanded to arrive in the Bridge’s east public parking lot “no earlier than 9:30 am”, to enter the bridge “no earlier from 10 am” and to exit “by 12:00 pm.”

Maximum sign size was 24”x36”, with no more than 50 signs and painstakingly defined “props” permitted, regardless of the number of participants.

We the Sheeple did have the Bridge District’s permission to “pin pictures on our clothing.”

The Permit prohibited press conferences on the Bridge, asserting that, “This of course is not meant to limit press coverage or interviews….”

“If a press release is to be issued regarding this event, please coordinate with [the District’s] Public Affairs Director,” giving the District oversight and, potentially, the right to demand we censor our messages to the media, or lose the Permit.

By far the most offensive, clearly illegal condition of the Permit banned us from displaying American flags. “Flags or banners of any kind or size are not permitted.” So the Golden Gate Bridge District, a governmental entity operating under our Constitution and Bill of Rights, denies its employees–We the People–the right to display our nation’s flag in any way, shape, or form. Think about it.

The Golden Gate Bridge, completed in 1937, reflects Americans’ willingness to face great odds and prevail. It was the final glimpse of America many WWII GIs had before they made the ultimate sacrifice for America in horrific Pacific battles.

This majestic span measures 1.7 miles. Given the shameless quashing of our uniquely American, God-given rights–now under assault by petty, power-hungry bureaucrats coast to coast–the road to regain our liberty will be far longer.

Hillary Tops with Sanctuary City Traitors

Hillary Clinton got another Sanctuary City endorsement this week when Oakland’s Mayor Ron Dellums announced that he supports her Presidential bid. (Sanctuary City San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom is already in her camp.) Sen. Dianne Feinstein, who as Mayor of San Francisco in the 1980s decreed it to be the nation’s first ever Sanctuary City even as she burned through the City’s budget surplus with trips to China and Russia, smiled for the cameras as Dellums swore his loyalty to Hillary before a group of Clintonistas. (Feinstein is now actively championing AgJobs, to amnesty millions of self-professed farmworkers.) Will Hillary be the top choice of Sanctuary City supporters with clout, and if so, what does that mean to the many voting Democrats who oppose rewarding illegal aliens with Citizenship, and $5,000 per anchor baby (and in the meantime, costly public benefits to which illegals, under current law, are not entitled)?

A Longtime Resident Of Idaho Asks If Blackmail Explains Larry Craig’s Support For Amnesty

Today’s breaking news of Idaho’s US Senator Larry Craig being charged with and pleading guilty to lewd conduct in a Minnesota airport mens’ room follows months of my asking Northern Idaho conservatives about how last Fall’s rumors of Craig’s sexual preferences might explain his traitorous stance on amnesty for illegal aliens (he strongly supports amnesty, voted for both Senate bills, and is cosponsoring the AgJobs and DREAM Act bills, both of which include amnesty clauses).

Was Craig being blackmailed? Locals admitted that for at least two decades, unsubstantiated stories of Craig’s homosexuality had circulated, and that he had married a divorced staffer with children late in life in the face of those rumors. Will this be the final straw for potato heads who have preferred ignorance to action? Craig’s pathetic protestations today (”it’s a he said, he said” matter, his staffer claims) and Craig’s own statements that he “should have sought counsel and not pled guilty” pale in comparison to the detailed, shocking charges leveled by the arresting cop, the apparent target of Craig’s sexual advances.

Let’s hope Craig quickly resigns to spend more time with his family. Gov. Butch Otter can then appoint someone who reflects Craig’s constituents and the state legislature’s strong stance against illegal alien rights, benefits, and unwanted presence in the state.

Farewell to Patriot Activist Bob Simmons

America lost a great patriot last month. Bob Simmons was my mentor in many ways. He and I shared real-time and memories of crazy immigration meetings in California, and when I think of those events and his wonderful, wild, shocking behavior (!), I cannot help but smile. Bob was a great teacher too, and shared his experience and observations of the Black Panther movement (being nice gets a movement nowhere!). I wish we had video of him at a “San Patricio” (St. Patrick’s Brigade) event, honoring Irish colluders with Mexican soldiers during the Mexican-American war.

When caught, American soldiers hung the Irish traitors who had been allowed to emigrate to the US in exchange for serving in our military, from which they promptly defected. There Bob sat, a smiling older gentleman, leaning on a cane, listening quietly, so very civilized as seditious speakers glorified Mexican and Irish enemies.

The next moment, as the panelists proudly revealed their Aztlan plan to take over America, Bob jumped to his feet shouting, eyes darting, his cane whirling wildly above his head, looking like he might just use his cane to impale the enemy, or at least whack them hard on the head.

His transformation that evening truly freaked out the open-borders crowd — how could they respond to this “elderly” “disabled” man who possibly posed a threat to them? Of course, they called the cops to silence us Americans. The cops reminded the fascists that we have a First Amendment right to speak freely, a concept foreign to them. Bob later limped out to his car, savoring that sweet victory, and we recalled it with glee for years. I met Bob so many years ago, when we started the battle to keep America for Americans. He was typing up and faxing alerts, and I convinced him (after much pushing and prodding) to buy my old computer so that he could use email and get on the internet.

He really didn’t like that new-fangled technology, at least that is what he told me at the time. A couple of weeks later, Bob junked that old Mac, bought a high-powered state-of-the-art computer, and never looked back. As Bob’s mobility declined, he became an info hub, courier, and distributor of critical alerts. He rallied our troops over and over again. The fact that he died the very week that We the People turned back a Senate Amnesty Bill from Hell is fitting. Bob fought the fought, ran the race — even when he couldn’t walk –and quietly laid down his sword only when Victory was in sight.

Bob (”LucasValley@”) was a great foot soldier, dedicated activist, hero, and true American Patriot. He must be counted among the Founding Fathers of the New Republic, which only now is beginning to spring forth in the hearts and minds of awakened Americans. I already miss you Bob! Thank you for your service.

Protesting Which War?

Yesterday, I joined with 200 anti-war marchers in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho at a rally organized by George Soros’ moveon.org, local Democrats, and Peace & Justice groups, typically adversaries in the fight against open borders. My toes grew cold as I stood in snow at Independence Point, holding my homemade sign: “US Troops at US Borders.”

Unlike most rally participants, I am not a peacenik when it comes to the invasion of my country, and my sign quickly drew the attention of a grey-haired refugee from Santa Monica. (Most non-natives here fled Southern California.)

“That’s a sign I can get behind,” he said. In one minute, he shared of the destruction by massive Third World immigration of the once pristine, lush coastal city of Santa Monica, my favorite spot when I visited L.A. “It’s gone,” he lamented. He suggested napalming our southern border to stop the onslaught. “We’ve done it before.” My guess is he saw it in Vietnam. As one who supports militarizing our southern border, I agreed that “drastic” defensive measures are long overdue.

Well known conservative control of Northern Idaho had one marcher quoted in today’s newspaper coverage: “If you’ve got [anti-war] protesters in Idaho, you’ve got them everywhere.” Indeed. But many of us displaced Americans believe the real war is at home, at our borders, coastlines and the interior. With an estimated 700 foreign gang members — Mexican, Central American, and Russian — just 30 miles west in Spokane, most here seem blissfully unaware of the immediate threat they and their children face. “They won’t get it till it’s too late,” said my fellow ex-Californian. As strains of Peter, Paul, & Mary music floated across the crowd, he smiled and drifted away.

{Vdare.com note:For information about the Mel Martinez for RNC Chairman controversy, see November 15, 2006 The Fulford File, Email RNC About Martinez Nomination! ]

After the disaster of the recent election, you’d think the Republican Establishment, including Bush, would have gotten the message: their base is mad at them.

Not so. Like the Bourbons, who had a broadly similar experience, they have learned nothing and they have forgotten nothing.

The Bush nomination  of Mel Martinez to be Chairthing of the Republican National Committee has caused a lot of complaintincluding here on VDARE.COM, where Patrick Cleburne characterized the decision as: "RNC To White Men: - Off ! (Again). "

Idaho Governor Stops Illegal Hiring

I am happy to note that Idaho’s Gov. Risch made this announcement yesterday, right here in Coeur d’Alene, far from the Capital.
[Risch pushes for legal hires during Cd'A visit, By TOM GREENE, Coeur d'Alene Press, December 13, 2006]

Want to think my 3 months of harping to two conservative/Republican groups helped make it happen. Rumor has it more to come (from Republicans acting like Republicans)
